No século XIX surgiram grandes autores teatrais. Homens que ao longo de suas vidas e ao longo de suas obras contribuíram fervorosa e apaixonadamente para o enriquecimento da Literatura, da Poesia e do Teatro de sua época. Cumulados de talento de glórias, esses escritores despertaram o mais profundo encantamento, legando a seus contemporâneos e as futuras gerações do fruto de seus brilhantes trabalhos. Suas vitoriosas peças teatrais, que alcançaram o direito a universalidade, comovendo as platéias do mundo e as opiniões dos críticos, tiveram de um século ao outro numerosos intérpretes. Atores e atrizes que fizeram nascer, renascer ou reafirmar a cada espetáculo a imortalidade dessas obras.
Perenizadas em cartões-postais, as imagens desses escritores atravessaram a barreira do tempo e chegaram aos dias de hoje, possibilitando-nos inversamente uma volta a um passado apenas imaginável.

THEATRICAL AUTHORS

During the XIX th century, great theatrical authors came into sight. They were men who, throughout their lives and their work, fervorously and lovingly contributed to the enrichment of Literature, Poetry and the Theatre of their times. Showered with talent and glories these authors brought about the deepest enchantment, bequeathing to their contemporaries and future generations the product of their brilliant achievements. Their victorious theatrical pieces, which attained the right to universality by touching audiences around the world as well as through the opinions of the critics, had, from one century to the other, several interpreters. They were actors and actresses who gave birth, who renewed or reafirmed in every performance the immortality of such works.
Perpetuated in postcards, the images of these authors overpassed the barriers of time and arrived in present times, thus enabling us to do a reverse return into a past which can only be imagined.
