Postais
com selos e moedas... A maior parte deles em relevo, decorando, justificando
a simbologia do país ou as suas figuras gradas (os Reis, os Presidentes),
elas próprias também símbolos da unidade nacional.
Os inglêses integram este tipo de postais na categoria dos novelty
(bilhetes postais especiais).
Toda
a carga de coleccionismo concentra-se nesta categoria, que tem em geral
grande valor filatélico porque reúne em si as imagens próprias
do postal, os selos, as moedas e, por vezes, os carimbos do dia. O próprio
grafismo do selo e da moeda penetra no postal ilustrado. Este tem como
função a sua divulgação, conotando-o com o
tempo histórico, simbolizado pelas cores da bandeira ou pela presença

STAMPS AND COINS
Postcards
carrying stamps and coins... most of them embossed, decoraing, justifying
the symbology of the contry and its great personalities (Kings and Presidents),
who were themselves symbols of national unity. The English classify such
cards in the ‘novelty’ category, (special postcards).
All
the weight of collecting is concentrated on this category, that has usually
a great philatelic value, since it combines in itself the images that
are peculiar to the postcards: the stamps, the coins and at times the
postage stamp of the very same day. The graphic prints of the stamps and
coins insert themselves in the illustrated postcard. This one has as its
function its own divulgation with a historical connotation symbolyzed
by the colours of the flag or by the figurative image.
